South Tyrolean produce

South Tyrol is a very fertile region with an excellent climate for the production of premium-quality apples. This German-speaking area in the north of Italy is located in the heart of the Alps. The region has sufficient rainfall and water as well as around 300 days of sunshine with the right temperature difference between day and night, which leads to high sugar production in the apples. At between 220 m and 1100 m above sea level, it is a true paradise for cultivating apples.

The average size of a fruit farm in South Tyrol is approximately 2 hectares, which means that every farmer knows every tree and works with great care, passion and the necessary respect for the environment. This is a prerequisite for the production of exceptionally high-quality produce.
Maximum traceability is guaranteed (traceability from the apple to the production field).

Compliance with maximum hygiene levels and the applicable rules on food safety at every stage of production has become standard.

Apples are 85% water, which means they are thirst-quenching. They have hardly any fat and contain many valuable nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and secondary plant compounds.

Their vitamin C content is particularly noteworthy. With an average of 12 mg per 100 g, it covers 15% of the daily requirement. The vitamin C content varies depending on variety, maturity, harvest time and storage.

100 g apples provide 53 kilocalories. This valuable energy comes mainly from fructose, which is very easily digested. Fructose is transported via the blood directly to the muscles, where it is immediately converted into energy.
